Ingredient
  • ½ cup of corn syrup
  • ¼ cup of softened butter
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • 3 cups of powdered sugar
  • 4 drops of yellow food colouring
  • 2 drops of red food colouring
  • 1 bag (12 oz) of milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp of shortening

Direction
  1. Mix in a large bowl the corn syrup, butter, vanilla and salt. Beat in an electric mixer. Add the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, stirring well by hand. Remove 1/3 cup of the mixture and place in a small bowl. Add the yellow and red coloring and mix. Cover the 2 bowls and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  2. When the 2 mixtures are firm, make a small ball with the orange type and coati it with the white one while forming the shape of an egg. Place on a cookie sheet covered by wax paper. Repeat until all the dough has been used. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
  3. In a glass bowl, combine the chocolate chips and the shortening. Heat in a microwave for 1 minute, stir, and heat for another minute. Using 2 forks, dip the eggs in the chocolate. Place on a cookie sheet covered by wax paper and refrigerate for 2 hours. Add a second layer of chocolate by repeating the previous step and refrigerate for another 2 hours.
