Ingredient
  • 1 kg flour (8 C)
  • 500 gr butter (2 C)
  • 20 gr salt (13/4 tbsp)
  • 30 gr yeast (1 tbsp)
  • 2 eggs
  • 800 gr water (31/2 C)


Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine together the flour, salt and the yeast with the eggs and water,mix with your hand until smooth. Put in the fridge for 15 minutes to allow the dough to chill.
  2. When ready, lay down the dough onto a lightly floured board, spread one third of the butter on top, gather the dough together with your hand,press into a ball, knead it lightly on the board and roll pin. Again, let it rest for an other 15 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Repeat the same operation twice making sure to turn over the dough each time.
  4. Slice the dough in triangles, roll with your hands each pieces to give it a crescent shapes. Set aside for a last 15 minutes to allow the dough to rise.
  5. Finally, place the crecents in a preheated 350°F ( 175°C ) oven. Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until they are golden-brown.
  6. NOTE: If you fill to up-grade the taste of your crescents, why not adding an handfull of chocolat chips or crushed almonds to your recipe ! The final taste will surely impress...
