Source : Cabane à sucre Leclerc
Ingredient- 3 cups of soup peas
- Cold water
- 1 to 3 slices of minced bacon
- 125 ml of diced onions
- 750 ml of water
- 4 tsp of salted herbs
- 250 ml of diced carrots
- Salt, pepper and sugar (to taste)
Direction- Wash the peas and soak in water for about 12 hours. Melt the bacon on low heat.
- Empty the diced onions in the bacon fat and baste with water. Add the peas, herbs, and carrots. Season and simmer for 3 hours.
