Ingredients- 1-½ cups (375 ml) of vegetable oil
- 1 cup (250 ml) of light brown sugar
- 1 cup (250 ml) of granulated sugar
- 2 tsp (10 ml) of salt
- 1-½ tsp (7 ml) of vanilla extract
- 1 tsp (5 ml) of bicarbonate soda
- 4 cups (1l) of all purpose flour
- ¼ cup (60 ml) water
- 1 package (12 oz) of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation- In a large bowl, mix the oil and sugars and beat in a mixer until the consistency is smooth. Add the salt, vanilla and soda.
- While beating at low speed, add the flour a little at a time. Afterwards, add the water and then mix completely. Stir in the chocolate chips and add the water if necessary to ensure the mixture holds.
- Form the cookies by making 2 inch wide by 1/8 inch thick shapes. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C). Place the cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 18 minutes or until they are lightly golden on the top and sides.
