Source : Bisquick

  • 4 cups of sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 -1/3 cups of Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 3 tbsp of sugar
  • 3 tbsp of butter or melted margarine
  • 1 container (8 oz) of whipped cream, thawed

  1. In a medium bowl, mix the strawberries, sugar. Stir and put aside.
  2. In another medium bowl, add the Bisquick mix, milk, sugar, and the melted butter. Stir to form smooth dough.
  3. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Divide the dough into 6 full tablespoons.
  4. Preheat the oven to 425F. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Cut in two while warm and fill with sliced strawberries and whipped cream. See photo.

Makes 6 Shortcakes.
PERFECT! The cake melts on sight and in your mouth! An assured favourite!. I cooked it for 10 minutes near the top of the oven!
