A.L. Van Houtte ::: Coffee Roasted Almonds

  • 1 c almonds (or mixed nuts)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 c finely ground coffee
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix nuts and oil in a small bowl.
  2. Place nuts on baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly toasted. Pour remaining ingredients into a slightly larger bowl, then mix in nuts until well-coated.
  3. Return nuts to baking sheet and toast for 2 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Makes approximately 1 cup.
